The Wave, Bristol, are recruiting Surf Techs for our 2024 summer season. We have fixed-term and casual roles available. The Wave is a slice of the ocean inland, where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can experience the joy of blue health and its many benefits. Why join The Wave? This ground-breaking technology can generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hour, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height. We can produce a new wave every 8-10 seconds. Our Surf Tech’s are responsible for ensuring our visitors are well informed, relaxed and excited about getting on the water! You will provide excellent customer service to ensure the visitors journey is seamless within the Surf Ops department. Our Surf Techs: • Follow departmental H&S rules & procedures confidently • Have a comprehensive knowledge of equipment and wetsuits • Take care of equipment by cleaning, distributing and returning items to their designated place as well as identifying any that are not fit for use • Confidently host & consistently deliver amazing sessions • Confident delivery of briefings for hosted sessions & experiences • Understand and deliver the customer journey - arrivals process; waiver process; check-in; equipment issue • Actively support the team to ensure a smooth-running day; completes checklists; work to the daily plan; proactively look to find & complete tasks • Having site wide knowledge & proactively promoting all our site has to offer (accommodation, retail, clubhouse) Our ideal Wavemaker will have a desire to assist others, ensuring visitors leave with a smile on their face. Our Wavemakers use their initiative effectively and take a proactive approach to any challenges that arise – a can-do attitude is essential!
