See You Next Season

100 day seasons.

“Yeah, I got to 100 days”

Every self-respecting ski bum should be aiming to reach the 100 days of skiing count each winter. Here are my tips to reach that milestone.

  1. Work like a dog in the summer and fall. The more cash you save when it’s not snowing,  the less you need to work during the winter.
  2. Find a night job.
  3. Get an on-mountain job. Unless the snow absolutely blows, ski patrollers always get their 100 days up.
  4. Stay off the booze or tolerate skiing with a hangover.
  5. Skin up pre-season. It adds to your count, gets you fit, and helps prevent injuries.
  6. Ski up post-season. Corn snow in some high altitude bowl still counts.
  7. Work at a resort with a long season. (Like A-Basin high up in Colorado)
  8. Have a profitable side hustle to help keep the bank balance up.
  9. Abstain from family, friends, mountain biking, and religion!! They just get in the way.
  10. Ignore the first bit of point 9, and find a partner who skies more than you.

There you go peeps, I’ve written the instruction manual, now go make it happen.
